SharePoint Online

SharePoint Online (SPO)

Microsoft SharePoint Online is a web-based collaborative platform that can be used for storing and sharing content securely, as well as to create secure websites, such as intranets, or to collaborate with external users. SharePoint Online is part of the Nexus365 suite of applications, is cloud-based and has been available to members of the University since November 2020.

SharePoint Online is designed for content which needs to be shared with a wide group within the University (or named individuals beyond the University).

It provides an environment for publicising content, sharing content more widely than Teams (see below), for final versions of documents and for content retention of live data.

Each SharePoint Site may store up to 1TB of data and there is no charge made.

For support and information on how to use the service, see Overview: SharePoint
